This group is designed to help men use their anger in a more positive way. Rather than hurt themselves (resulting in depression and/or apathy) or hurting others (verbally, physically, sexually) they will create new “tools” that can enrich their relationships and improve their quality of life. The group is done in a supportive yet challenging, and confidential, setting so as to maximize the potential for making important changes.

A separate 2 session group for the women of these men is offered. This separate group helps the women to support each other and learn how to make positive changes in their lives. With both the men and women learning some of the same skills, existing relationships have really improved!

Process: psycho-educational model. A group process is encouraged. Topics include: boundaries, identifying the expectations and primary feelings that lead to anger, couple and family relationships, communication, attitude toward self, and father-son relationships.
