You may have questions about working with either Bonita (Bonnie) or Ian. Below are some brief answers. Please do contact us if you have more!
- What can I expect when working with you? Curiosity, empathy, a desire to both connect with you and to assist you in turning your problems into living better lives.
- How long are your sessions? 60 minutes is usual.
- What do you charge? Bonita: $135 per session; Ian: $160 (individuals), $170 (couples/families). Sliding scale fee is possible.
- Are your services covered by insurance or others? Often! Please check with your insurance provider.
- What is your professional designation? Bonita is a CCC (Canadian Certified Counsellor): Issued by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and Ian is a RCC (Registered Clinical Counsellor) issued by the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors. Both hold relevant Master's Degrees.
- Do you charge GST? Nope!
- If I pay for my own sessions can I claim this on my income tax? Ian's services, yes. Ask your MP to make this possible for all therapists.
- What are your backgrounds? Please go to this page for more details.
- How soon can I book? Bonita has more openings as Ian is semi-retired. Please do ask!
- Where are you located? Bonita is located in the north end of Nanaimo; Ian is the south end. There is parking available at both locations. Our offices are attached to our homes; both are private and confidential.
